Why Do My Airpods Light Up Blue

Make sure you are using a Qi standard charger and place your AirPods on the pad with the charging light indicator facing up. This should take approximately 15 seconds. After charging I opened the top of the case and the connection dialog popped up on my phone as expected but when I hit connect it spun for a while and then said the pairing had failed.
