LED lighting has become the standard when it comes to indoor lighting but incandescent.

Most landscape lighting applications call for warm light with a bit of a yellow hue which is what you will commonly find with halogens and other incandescent bulbs. However modern LED fixtures offer more inviting hues and offer a level of consistency. LED bulbs are brighter with vivid hues which is in stark contrast to the soft light radiating from incandescent bulbs.
Incandescent lights appear multicolored due to the colored glass that surrounds the bulb but LED strings actually put out different colors of light. To get there we spent quite a few years being experts in halogen and incandescent lighting. For example with string lights a 25 watt incandescent bulb can be replaced by a 1 to 2 watt LED bulb.
There was a time when LED bulbs were simply too white more like daylight to be a flexible option for a wide range of outdoor lighting projects. Lower energy usage is another distinct advantage with LED bulbs. An incandescent light bulb uses about five times as much power to produce the same amount of light as an LED bulb.
LEDs on the other hand are energy-efficient light bulbs that consume 25 to 80 percent less power than traditional incandescent light bulbs. At low power levels LEDs can be even more energy efficient than a comparable incandescent light bulb. They can last 50000-100000 hours or more.
An incandescent light lasts about 1200 hours at best. Average bulb life varies but as shown in the graph above the LED bulb versions vastly outperform the incandescent. From what I could find online CFLs and incandescent bulbs are actually MORE sensitive to LOW temperatures than LEDs.
