Use a voltage tester and check for power on the landscape wire. If your outdoor lights arent turning on the problem might be with the timer and not the transformer itself. What to do about it.

Check that the firmware is up-to-date. The most common problem you can troubleshoot here is to check the transformer to see if a portion has been tripped to OFF without your knowledge. Then remove the tape and make sure they turn off.

If a section of your landscape lighting system suddenly goes out it is possible that a line was cut. Check the following items. Do not exceed the total output of the landscape transformer from the individual fixtures.

Check the onoff switch on power. Confirm the power on the transformer is on and the device is plugged in. Check the voltage coming out of your transformer to see if its over 12 volts.
